EHSAS (Empathetic Humane Socially Awakened Samaj) is a Not-for-Profit Organization, established in the year 2007 with a strong commitment to social objectives, supported by dedicated volunteers. Our primary focus has been on environmental conservation through initiatives such as rainwater harvesting and rooftop solar installations in schools, homes, offices, community buildings, and industries. This shift in focus was catalyzed by the launch of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan in June 2019.

In addition to our environmental efforts, we have been actively involved in tree planting, providing medical services to underprivileged communities, bridging gaps with government programs, and supporting the livelihood augmentation initiatives of the National Mission for Clean Ganga under the Arth Ganga Jalaj Model. Following the launch of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, EHSAS developed the JVK filter, an innovative device designed to capture and harvest rooftop rainwater through borewells.

We have spread our wings to several States including Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and West Bengal. Our installations have received widespread recognition and endorsement from several state governments including Haryana and Delhi.

Our holistic approach to environmental and social welfare includes initiatives such as bio-composting, bio-remediation of sewage, tree plantation drives, outreach programs with farming communities and women's self-help groups, and the promotion of Yoga and Kathak. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we engaged in mask-making to support tailor families, distributed sanitizers and ration kits, and provided oxygen cylinders and medical aid to distressed families. We have also funded eye surgeries and delivered medical aid directly to those in need.

In response to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, EHSAS tackled the oxygen crisis by procuring cylinders and concentrators from Pondicherry and Chennai with the support of Indian Railways. EHSAS reached out to critical COVID-19 patients with oxygen cylinders and delivered them to their doorsteps. A video tutorial on fitting oxygen flowmeters at home was also created and shared on YouTube to assist those in need. Our efforts saved numerous lives, and we launched a donation drive to offer pro bono assistance to the underprivileged.

EHSAS, founded on the principle of "जल है तो कल है" strives to connect young students with water conservation. By involving individuals from various professions, including students, business-people, healthcare workers etc., we aim to ignite a movement of environmental awareness, conservation, and social harmony.

EHSAS was conferred with WATER HERO Award by Ministry of Jal Shakti for its pioneering efforts for water conservation in December, 2022.

UltraTech Cement Company has signed an Agreement with EHSAS to promote rainwater harvesting and Solar energy installation in the NCR.

As more empathetic hands join our cause, we aim to reawaken our humane selves and unite a more socially awakened society.
